The State Government's new electoral funding laws, passed by a deal with the Greens on 15 February 2012 are an attack on small parties like the Shooters and Fishers Party.

The Legislation limits and restricts who can donate to a party, and how much money they can donate and will make it illegal for your shooting or fishing club to donate money on your behalf to the Shooters and Fishers Party.

In future, shooters and fishers will need to donate small amounts directly to the Party.

The Christian Democrats moved an amendment to remove not for profit organisations and community groups from the new laws, but the Liberals, Nationals, Labor and Greens all voted against the amendment.
