POWER-SHARING agreements at state and federal levels had given the Greens "a wonderful opportunity to bring about significant change", the Tasmanian Greens state conference was told yesterday.

Party heavyweight Senator Christine Milne told delegates at the Brighton conference the party would continue to lead the way at a time of great global crisis.

"We have secured the confidence of enough people around Australia to get a record Green vote, more people elected, [and the] balance of power in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, giving us a wonderful opportunity to bring about significant change," Senator Milne said.
